Mist at Madam Cherie's
Our friend Kerry took a picture and captured this strange mist at Madam Cherie's. Included is a picture of the famous madam herself. Thanks Kerry! We haven't visited this location yet, but it is open to the public, and a good place for amateur ghost hunters to check out. Here's some details she supplied which rule out the possibility of smoke or fog. The camera had also been normalized to the outdoor temperature, probably ruling out the possibility of condensation on the lens.
"The weather was beautiful, about 60 - 65 degrees and sunny, clear skies. It was on Saturday, October 11th around 11:30 am.It was the most perfect weekend, weather wise, that we've had. You could definitely not see our breath, it was warm.
While taking the picture, I didn't see any mist/fog with my naked eye. Neither one of us smokes, so no, no cigar or other smoke.
I felt very peaceful there but I felt like someone was watching us. When we got to the actual foundation, there was a white rock in the ground and I liked it so I stood on it, my legs felt hot. I didn't know the history until I got home, but her house burned down. That was weird. Also, when we were walking away, I was feeling a strong pull to look back, it was weird. The place is actually very beautiful. I definitely felt something there and it was very calming."

Various Anomalies
This "anomalies" manifested themselves for one of our resident photographic analysts. He also submitted the picture of the Ghost at the Oak Grove School on our other Visitors Submission page.
We post these types of photos so you can see how some web sites will post anything and call them a ghost. Rest assured, this phenomena is entirely man-made.
Vortex: We've never photographed a phenomena called a vortex before, but the "phenomena" can certainly can be created by obstructing the flash with a camera strap, human hair, or other object as is shown here.

Shadow People: Sometimes photographed at haunted locations, a "shadow person" can also "show up" if you obstruct your flash, by accident, or as in this photo, on purpose.

Orb with Trails: We generally don't consider orbs as strong evidence of paranormal phenomena. Too many times they are reflections, or in this case, the light from a flashlight moving across the wall.

"To believe in ghosts is to believe in the human spirit."
